Ahh, Winter

The first day of Winter is upon us! Some (Toni) would say that means we are getting closer to Spring, but today I was reminded of why I love this season. Today was the first clear day we have had in a couple of weeks, and the Sierras were visible and clear this morning. I love looking East and seeing the mountains sharp against the horizon. I am looking forward to viewing the snow-capped peaks many more times before the sun comes back, fills the air with dirt and obscures my picture of the mountains.

Nightmares

So last night I had my first dream about the wedding. The dream started off badly, as Toni and I had not planned any more for the wedding in my dream than we have in real life (ie: no flowers). My favorite part of the dream though, was when everyone streamed out of the church in a mad, mob-like fashion. What were they running from you ask, well a X-Men/Spiderman style super villain, of course. Don't worry though, before anyone could do anything some kid (who I don't even know) defeats the super villain (by methods that will stun modern science, yeah, I am not sure how). At this point I go and talk to the wedding destroyer and find that he is in a blue (yes the same blue Toni want for the wedding. How considerate!) spandex suit, and he is an android. Oh yes, it gets better. The android was actually constucted by the priest, and only came back in order to get recharged. As the android super villain (who I might add, was quite polite and probably just misunderstood) plugs his charging cord into a wall socket, I mention, "you know, those are all the same. You can use any wall socket, not just the ones in the church here." I am so helpful.

Oh dear

So this good friend of Toni's was proposed to at school last week. Her fiance is a firefighter in Stockton. He borrowed a Sacramento City Fire Department truck, raised the ladder to the fifth floor window of the Communications Studies building, and asked her to marry him in full turnouts. Everyone is happy, the whole nine yards. Well, it seems that they got themselves into the paper, and not really in the best of ways. Check it out here!
