TV with elan

This fall I have a new reason to look forward to Mondays. NBC has a new show, "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" which promises to fill the void left by the "West Wing". But why am I so psyched about a TV show that I can't see until mid-September? By the awesome powers of NetFlix Toni and I watched the pilot last night. Oh yes, it was soo awesome.

I see spots

Friday evening the past six months or work finally came to a climax, as we released the software I have been working on (which may mean more frequent blogs!). The best part about deploying new software is that we release on Friday nights so as to minimize the impact on Monday. Long story short, I worked through the night and deep into Saturday. So once we finished, I was dead tired, but it was Saturday night and you can't sleep that away. After watching a movie in which our governor comically plays Devito's twin, a fine Italian dinner, and drinks at a new local bar, I was more than dead tired. I finally went to bed after being awake for about 40 hours, with a couple of 5 minute cat naps in between. There is nothing like working hard so that you can celebrate hard.
